Good Afternoon
I have just had a email regarding an apple watch series 4 which has as ECG app on it,just wondered if anyone had bought one as they are expensive and did not want to go ahead just in case anyone of you have had an experience with one.

I have one and it’s great, really useful.
Can it be linked to an I pad? I haven’t got an I phone.
The new apple watch has a sensory device that lays on the top of your wrist so that it can sense HR. The Watch links to the phone and to the Health app and records all necessary info. I would imagine you can download that same health app to your iPad but the Watch is the only device that can sense Afib.
My hubby bought me one for my last birthday/ anniversary. Yes they are expensive, $500 here in the US. I wouldnt have spent the $$ but Im so glad he did. It gives me peace of mind to wake up and see Ive had no sneaky a fib during night that I didnt know about as Im not on daily meds, only take antiarrhythmic med when in a fib.
The Apple Watch also has a ton of advantages that you may not be aware of that make it a superior network product.
Now that Im getting older and go for walks down our lonely road... I like the fall detection. Heaven for id, if I take a nasty fall, my watch will alert someone if needed
When I first had mine it thought I might have had a fall when I plumped pillows or played with the great-grandchildren but it seems to have calmed down now!
Mine hasnt yet but Ive only had it a little over a month
Both my wife and I have one, specifically for AF, wouldn’t be without it. Both our EP’s like them as well. Well worth the reassurance
ECG on watch, brilliant.
I saw my cardiologist earlier this week, he was very interested in it and I demonstrated how ecg worked. He says he wants to get one but is waiting for his current watch to die, lol. Its funny when us common folk who really cant afford it get one, and the guy that has $500 in pocket change is the frugal one🤣🤣🤣
Would love one but not recommend if you have a pacemaker, a: because it can upset pacemaker and b: because it would only pick up pacing beats
