I had ablation done for svt 3 years ago with no issue but developed a fib within a year
I had cryoblation done 4/1 by the same md. The first week I was exhausted, second week was better. By the middle of the third week I started going backwards. I was extremely fatigued Saw the md and my blood pressure was 149/90. Referred me to my cardiologist and suggested I monitor my bp. It remained higher than normal
A few nights after I woke up was sweaty and took my bp. It was over 180. In the ambulance and at the hospital it was never that high again and actually was far lower. EKG heart rate etc all good. It was the shortest er visit ever
On an additional bp med and while I feel slightly improved, I’m far from normal.
I never imagined recovery to be so long. It concerns me that I felt so much better early in in the recovery.

We compiled a fact sheet about recovery mainly because doctors do not warn patients just how long this can take. Three to six months is average but sometimes people are still recovering up to nine months or a year. If you are worried then why not contact the arhythmia nurse where you ahd the procedure and discuss how you feel.
Thanks. I did go in to see the surgeon and he had no real concerns. Mainly talked the plan depending on how things went of coming off meds. I do think I will
Give a call to his office and speak with his pa. My concern was mainly that I felt better and the. Seemed to do a reverse. I am pacing myself and doing some things but still taking it easy.
