4 weeks after 1st Cryoablation

Week 4 has been a good one thankfully, only a few ectopics/palpatations to report. I had the ablation on the 7th of September, the 2 months prior to that were terrible with almost daily irregular runs so the last 2 weeks have been so much appreciated just to get a break. I know there's no golden ticket in this game but I feel like the ablation has been a very good move in the right direction, my meds were becoming useless and symptoms were getting worse.

For any newbees considering this procedure, from my experience it is a sensible step to make before AF starts to consume your quality of life. If you have infrequent AF it's also got to be a consideration before it starts to take a hold which it tends to do with age. In my case it took 18 months to go from once every couple of months to once every couple of days.

I will report back in one month and let you all know if the news is still positive, in the meantime nothing changes here for me, still living the healthy life style, BMI 22.5 cholesterol 4.6, BP doing well and avoiding every trigger I know about, that will never change going forward no matter what AF is doing.

I will of course be having a daily nosey at this great forum and where I can help/contribute I will do so. I just want to say a massive thank you to all of the wonderful people I have chatted to and I can't tell you how much you have helped me to get through the past few months. Hopefully I can help some folk out going forward.

Great that your ablation has worked. There is no need to call it your first, you may we’ll never need another if, as you say, you lead an appropriate lifestyle. Diet, excercise and being careful with alcohol.
