Have a BP of 92/55 HR 67 &am in AF will taking my flecanide help ?

That's a low BP and may be why your AF has kicked in. Try drinking plenty of water to bring your BP up.

Welcome to the forum, you've come to the right place for advice and support. I'm sure others will soon be along to welcome you. Have you skimped on water today? It's so important for we people with AF, tea and coffee don't count. I guess the water will take a while to work, but have at least 3 glassfuls over the next hour if you can.

Welcome to the forum Margeau. I hope you are feeling better by now and that the Flecainide has stopped your AF.

My cardiologist told me to drink 3 litres of liquid daily to keep hydrated and keep my fairly low BP up. I try to drink 2 litres of water and make the rest up with tea.

I hope you will find the forum of help to you - we are a friendly bunch and someone is always around to answer any wuestions you may have.

I have been drinking water BP much better. Not well though I'm on the urgent list for pacemaker but it's 4 to 6 weeks at least so scary when you're on you're own just got to get on with it thank you for being in touch

I’ve been taking 75 mg of flecanide 2x a day and haven’t had a fib in over 3 years. I keep 150mg as a pill in the pocket Incase I get a break through. Good luck

Thank you jwsonoma took a sleeping tablet couldn't bare another bad, night I will take two flecainide today feeling much better this morning plenty of water hanging in there
