Do any of you have daily palpitations. I seem to get them regularly some last a seconds some 10 to 20 mins i also get light headed. Doctor was thinking about a pip beta blocker as i have low blood pressure but if i get regular palpitations im not sure if a pip is a good idea. Any thoughts?

Depends what your are having. See my reply to your other post.

I get palpitations throughout the day, sometimes a lot, sometimes a few.

I have just had to learn to live with it.

I get palpitations every day. Sometimes just one or two, sometimes regularly during the day. I have noticed that in my case they do come on after eating so vagus nerve related. I think they are linked to what I eat, especially if I overeat. I’m also prone to afib and I’m aware of a couple of triggers for that ie alcohol and ibuprofen. The palpitations I agree with Mike, you probably have to live with them (which I have for 35 years). My cardio told me that there isn’t much that can be done for ectopics other than try and keep calm and try and determine what if anything triggers them.

How do you cope witk palpitations ect. Im on bisoprolol but makes my blood pressure to low and gp suggested a pip. I worry how often i will get palpitations, sometimes my heart rate just goes up for a few minutes then comes down other times i feel faint with palpitations and they last longer.

I take magnesium daily and drink rooibos tea to try and keep me calm. I have to watch what I’m eating. I have a high fibre diet and make sure I keep constipation at bay. It’s not full proof but some days i only have one or two ectopics. If I have too much sugar I tend to get more palpitations I have gone teetotal although I do have alcohol free beer occasionally rather than drinking fizzy drinks which have aspartame I them.

Thankyou i jave just started magnesium my tablets are 100mg not sure how many i should take, i dont have caffeine or alcohol and learnt the to much sugar rule after eating chocolate one evening. Just wish i could feel brave enough to go on pip which gp says would be propranolol. I do not have a diagnosis yet as waiting for a 7 day monitor to hopefully catch something.

I take a 75 mg triple calm magnesium tablet twice a day. Must say I find the ectopics that I have are softer than I used to get. I’ve read on here that calcium channel blockers are good for ectopics but as I’ve never tried them I don’t know if they work. I should mention that I also take at least one banana a day to get more potassium. I also think it’s about trying to keep as calm as you can (easier said than done).
