Are you wearing a monitor at all? I just had my three month post-ablation appointment. My pacemaker registered premature and delayed heart beats, but no afib. My flecainide was cut to 50 mg 2x daily and continue with metoprolol. I'm curious about your no meds at this point.

If it is possible to get your local doctor to give you an ECG (EKG in USA) this might show what is going on. You can then send a copy to your EP for their consideration. I too am surprised you are not on any meds at this time. Surely you stayed on anticoagulants at the very least.?

Aspirin is no good for stroke prevention in AF as has been hammered in to us for two years now. You really do need to consider your options here as soon as possible.

if it happens again tomorrow i will start back on metoprolol then make an appointment to see my doctor

It may well settle again. But contact your cardiologist as you probably need to be on anti coags if having palpitations. Are you avoiding caffeine and alcohol. It is 6 months post my last ablation and have gradually settled to A tachy rather than A fib. Improved comfortwise.

Best wishes

Having flecainide as a pip give me tremendous confidence as I know that a 100 dose will stop my AF in about 2 hours.

As all you can do is wait for the AF to stop you are much more likely to become stressed which only makes things worse. I'd speak to your doctor about this if I were you.

I will say this a hundred times if I can help just one person who has Afib.. it worked for me, but add Magnesium (best is 3 or 4 types of magnesium blends) and potassium... it made all the difference in the world for me and if i do go into afib (so rare now its great!!) It only lasts for a minute or two...you have NOTHING to lose trying the supplements... best of luck..I know how you feel,.. Ive been in the E room twice and the docs have no real answers..but my online research steered me this way and thankfully it worked for me. BEST of luck to you!!!!

thank you for replying. I have had my magnesium and potassium level done and they are normal . I did ask the ER Doc if i should take a supplement and he said no there was no need i do have a foot spa of Epsom Salts and that works quicker than the Magnesium Tabs sometimes a bath as well

Serbiesnow, you don't say if you are on medication or if you have had an ablation? Happy you have found a fix for your AFib, Gracey

Hi Gracey, Im 52, and I take (for Blood pressure) metoprolol and lisinipril, but nothing for my AF. I have had no surgeries. Since taking the supplements, I feel like my old self again, and no doctor even recommended that, this was by my own research. It seems most cardiologists know very little about the electrical part of AF and usually resort to fixing this with a sledgehammer. Im not saying the supplements will work for everyone, but they certainly did for me and I think its worth a shot for anyone suffering from that horrible AF. Like I said, If I can help only one person resolve this its worth it.
