Vagal Af and Pacemaker

Hello all .. Is there anyone on the Forum who has had a pacemaker fitted (with no AV node ablation) for Vagal AF , if so did it keep you out of AF .. I’m asking this as I saw my cardiologist yesterday and this is what he offered me .. I currently take no meds, thanks

Yes I had vagal AF but I also had AF with no vagal trigger. I had a PM fitted Sept 2018 and had only 1 short episode of AF since, had be 3-4 a week prior to implant. I was going for AV node ablation but have held off for technical reasons and because my QOL improved so much.
