Has anyone experienced stomach or intestinal issues while taking this drug? I’ve had stomach pain & excessive burping along with being nauseous.

Not those but was unable to loose weight and suffered leg pains as well as muscle loss.

Not a drug I will ever take again.

Was on it for nearly fifteen years and since discontinuing my cholesterol is still in the normal range.

I was on 10mg for over 10 years and 5mg untill I stopped over 2 years ago.

I would seek your Drs opinion as everyone reacts differently.

The efficacy of this drug is still being debated. If you are getting consistantly side effects, I would stop it to see if the symptoms subside and then have your cholesterol reevaluated to reconsider risk / benifit calculation.

I agree, but would add do so under GP advice,as suddenly stopping can result in worse cholesterol readings!

I was put on 80 mg a day straight away when I had a reading of 13.5 and left on it for 18 months, despite a radical lifestyle and nutrition overhaul. I had severe thigh pain to the point I could hardly walk. Wasn't sure if it was bisoprolol, cut that out as daily dose with GP knowledge( use as PIP) no difference so then asked for repeat cholesterol blood test ,which was normal,so we cut down to 40 mg....almost straight away no pains. Intend reducing further if need be.Maintaining good cholesterol readings since November 2018

Didn't have digestion issues. How long have you been on it?are you due for a review? There are alternatives which might suit you better?I

I wish I had queried it before.

All the best! Xx
