Ectopic heart beats

I saw my EP yesterday who has now confirmed that I am to have an ablation to deal with my AF. I have been having some really strong and uncomfortable ectopic beats on daily, I mentioned this and she said try not to worry about them as they are not serious and untreatable. I had noticed that they became worse when I started on Apixaban. I trialled taking half my tablet twice a day and they calmed/disappeared. As soon as I started on 1 tablet twice daily they came back. Has anyone any thoughts on how to deal with this, I would really appreciate some suggestions.

Since the drug is an anticoagulant you MUST NOT mess around with dosage. I find it hard to believe there is a connection.

Thank you BobD. You are right I know, it's just that the ectopic beats are so uncomfortable I was looking for reasons why it has suddenly become worse. But if anyone knows of any way I can help myself with this I would be really grateful.
