Question about abalation

Hi:

Most of you know me. I post a lot. I had my abalation and the doctor tried to induce a fib during it and was unable too. 12 days later I had a 5 hour episode. I know about the blanking period etc, but I’m really wondering if he missed the area where my AF was coming from? Any thoughts?

My EP said self terminating episodes of AF are quite common post ablation so don’t stress.

I had to take cardizem and the. It went away. Does that still count? I always convert with cardizem and on my own.

I can’t really comment but I think so. Unfortunately I’m not an ablation success story- I had an ablation mid September and have had multiple daily episodes every day since, despite lots of drugs. I’ve had lots of complications along the way 😃

I’m sorry to hear mate! I know how frustrating this beats is. Simply awful. I would consider doing it again.

I would consider another one. I’ve had 3 already in the the past 2 years (2 for SVT and 1 for AF and AFlutter). At the moment I’m being investigated to see what underlying problem could be causing all my dramas as it’s become apparent that it isn’t a simple case of just the electrics playing up.
