Hi everyone, I’m a 27 year old female who was diagnosed with psvt...

I had my ablation procedure 4 months ago... It went well apparently successful and two pathways were burnt.

Felt weak for the first week or two...

I’ve started gym training again which is boxing. My doctors said I could get back to training after a few weeks... I waited a little longer to make sure I’m all good... But the other day when training I had to stop and went home because I felt sore in my chest like a burning sensation...

This burning sensation is around my chest heart area... I also have a sore back, I don’t know if that can contribute to the chest muscle pain but thought I won’t dismiss it.

When going to sleep I am woken up to my heart racing a little faster than usual not in an SVT like state where it’s thumping but beating weirdly... it’s annoying and I can’t help but think it has something to do with my heart because of the pain in that area and racing heart...

I speak to my gp but they don’t understand it, they say that I shouldn’t be feeling any discomfort there as they have done the procedure and all should be fine...

I’m feeling a bit nauseous and worried...

I’d really appreciate hearing about anyone else’s experiences and if they have this type of issue with chest discomfort (burning) pain and weird racing heart beats.

Really I think you ought to get unexplained chestpain looked at,not withstanding your GPs response. Are you still able to contact the team who did your proceedure?

It sounds like a possible new arrythmia or the residual reaction to the proceedure.

Best wishes xx

Hi there.. You may find your body needs a bit more time to recover before pushing it at the gym, everyone is different so maybe take a rest for a few more weeks and see if that helps. I would certainly take wilsond's advice and speak with your cardio team or arrhythmia nurse and see what their opinion is on the situation. Try not to worry as it may well be part of the healing process which can take 6 months and beyond so make a phonecall and put your mind at rest.. I hope all works out for you and I'm sure it will 👍
