SCAD & NSTEMI

Hi, I was diagnosed with A Fib around 10 years ago and have been medically managed since then. I've had a few admissions with serious episodes since then, but in September I had a terrific headache like nothing I had suffered before followed by severe chest pain. I was away from home at the time and ended up at the local A & E where an ECG was normal but troponin levels very very high and increased steeply after an hour. Four days later I had an angio and was diagnosed with SCAD - sponteneous coronary artery dissection which then caused an NSTEMI - heart attack. Has anyone else suffered this and of so, how has your recovery been and did it set of the A Fib again?

Many thanks for any information.

Hi Daysyday and welcome to the forum.

It's not looking like anyone has heard of the problem you had and that's quite unusual on here. Hopefully now you have had my reply others may follow.

Best wishes

Jean

Sorry, I can't help either. I had to look this up as I had never heard of it. Hope you are recovering, and that someone comes along who can help.
