my son was on warfarin for 25 years then this new doctor changed to Xarelto and he was dead within 7 months. watch the Xarelto commercials about Xarelto it even says Xarelto only works on one part of where blood clots come from where warfarin works on all which is what Factor V Lein requires. Now he is dead

Just so extremely shocked and saddened to hear the news of your son's death and my heart goes out to you. It's just the most awful thing to have happened and I can understand your total devastation.

Thank you for having the strength and courage to come onto the forum to tell us.

Will be thinking of you.

I can't imagine how you must be feeling but the thought of losing a child is heartbreaking. I do hope you have sought help for ways of managing how you feel because of this life changing loss. Telling us about your son's experiences is part of the means by which you cope with the pain and we are all hear to listen to how you feel.

Thank you so much for being so strong to offer help after such a loss. I am guessing you are in the States where I believe these drug adverts are more common...could you expand on what the Xarelto ad says re 'only works on one part of where blood clots come from' as here in the UK I am not aware of that aspect. Best wishes.

Lisa, I know you posted earlier this year about your son, who I believe died 18 months ago. I’m sorry we missed that. Your new screen name reflects your deep sadness.

When my baby daughter died 13 years ago, I needed professional help. In my case, the passage of time has diminished the anguish, and I have been able to move on. I think Alice would have wanted that. Few of us can cope with the loss of a child on our own.

Hold on to all the good times. Joseph

It is one if life's greatest tragedies to lose a child as I know only too well. I lost my baby daughter Kerry to a congenital heart defect so I know the pain you feel. My heart goes out to you 💔

I live in the US and the ad is very generalized. No real medical info to give you except to say the drug targets certain areas that prevents clots. So sorry for your loss. It is unimaginable what you have had to go through. Sending prayers your way.
