Hi. When I had hair that would not grow, along with nails, it turned out that I was very anaemic. Get a blood test done. After 2 years on iron, my hair and nails are back to normal. I am on Apixaban.

Been on rivoxoban for three years sonce first a fib.

Nails a bit weaker but no problems with hair.

I doubt its the tablets more like your body is down a bit.

Get bloods may just need a boost.

Good luck.

I am on Rivaroxaban and I too am suffering from hair loss and it’s quite bad, also very fine and lifeless. No problems with nails. I also had this problem with Apixiban and dabigatran. It isn’t listed as a side effect for any of these, but they are relatively new drugs, so will be reliant of the likes of us to report. I have googled it and certainly others are having the same problem.

Just been close to tears when drying my hair.

It's just getting thinner by the day...I am on apixiban.

Can we take a supplement apart from iron?

Yes! Our bodies need vitamins and minerals for every process, including conducting the drugs out of our bodies. If we are short on anything we will feel less well sooner or later.

I take men’s Viviscal tabs ( no iron), they help, plus Biotin. Also, there are shampoo’s that kind of help. I get everything on Amazon.

Apixaban makes my hair fall out. It did settle for a while but then I lost quite a bit of weight and it has started falling out again.
