AF is an irregular irregular beat. SVT is a regular fast beat.
Could you have both?
Quite possible if you have paroxysmal AF which comes and goes but not simultaneously . Go to AF Association website and read till you drop. Knowledge is power.
I have been diagnosed with both. Recently I had a 5 hour AF episode where the rhythm and rate were all over the place but after about 2 hours it switched into a regular/steady 140bpm for half an hour then went back to AF. That was on a day where I’d come off one drug and had to wait three days before starting the new drug. My heart didn’t know if it was Arthur or Martha 🤪
Crikey. I'm not going to whinge anymore. Hope that has resolved for you, Kaz747.
This has been a challenging year (7 hospital stays, electric cardioversion, blood clot, AF & Flutter ablation, pericarditis, heaps of drugs, no alcohol) - hopefully 2019 will be better. Roll on New Year 🥂🍾🎉
Totally off topic I am a staffie x whippet Mum
How old? Beau will be 9 next year. She's looking sooo cute this morning. Must have been practising "the look" over night!
Feeling a bit better today, so I might venture out. Suppose I'd better get my backside into gear and think about some Christmas shopping 😣😣
