Interesting articles. The stand-out element for me is that this is very much the message that BobD and others have been advising for as long as i can remember. No matter what stage we are with the condition, whether recent, long-term, ablated or medicated, it is imperative that we still receive and take anti-coagulation.

Interesting and it agrees with the theory that it is the company which AF keeps that causes strokes rather than the AF itself.

It's a bit like the search for the medical holy grail - it might be out there somewhere, but my money is on lifestyle - diet and regular gentle exercise, dump the booze, lose the smokes, control your weight and be active. Life vanishes more quickly as you get older so make the most of what you've got.

Many thanks Goldey. Have downloaded as pdf to keep as evidence should anyone ever try to take my anticoagulants away!
