Hi. Just got letter from cardiologist saying there was evidence of wall motion abnormalities on my echo but he could not gauge the ejection fraction as the image was poor. He never mentioned this at the consultation and just told me the images were poor. Now I get this letter which has freaked me out! No mention of any further investigation, no mention of what it is and how to treat? Have done some internet searching which has scared me. Really stressed and worried. 😣

Hi I am sorry you have had that but I think the only person who can answer your questions is your doctor so either arrange another consultations or write to them telling them of your concerns and asking what follow up would be suggested. Anything out in writing cannot be ignored and becomes part of your record.
No matter how good your doctor may be, communicating clearly with patients remains one of the areas which may need improvement.
Best wishes
Hi. Thanks. I will write to them and try to get back in before the 6 months. I am going to see the GP next week to see what she says and see if she can do anything?
Hi whilst not the same I too had things on my echo letter which freaked me out, whilst I'm not here to tell you to ignore it, always query with your medically trained specialist, what I will tell you is that echo is a great tool to help evaluate things it's not 100% accurate and alot of its info is operator interrperated, so please don't panic just yet, I had some things which when queried were cast aside as nothing of actually quite normal
I was concerned that my echo showed a leaky mitral valve but my cardiologist told me that if every woman of my age had an echo most of them would have some degree of leakage!
