Was diagnosed with paroxysmal afib on 3/19/18. Was put on eliquis 2x a day 5mg and diltiazem er 120 mg. I was already on bystolic 5mg 2x a day and 20mg of lisinopril. Lately I've been feeling dizzy and nauseous just about every day. Had an episode of afib on 9/1/18 because I was frightened by a pigeon that flew out of my chimney. I have pip of flacanide 300 mg of I get an episode of afib. Has anyone else been feeling like this???? Please help may side effects of meds??? Thinking about going to ER. I've been feeling like this for a few weeks.

I think one of side effects of Eliquis( apixaban) is nausea which is rather common.

Consult your cardiologist to see if you need to switch to another NOAC.

Good health

I had really bad nausea with Apixiban. I was then prescribed Dabigatran and had the same problem. Third time lucky in my case, as I have been taking Rivaroxaban for about 18 months with no problems. I never took any of them on an empty stomach, but half way through my breakfast (and dinner in the case of the first two).

We are all different as to which drugs we can tolerate. I hope you find the right one for you.

I'm not a physician but if I were you I would check the side effects of all your meds and make sure you record when these events occurred. I take eliquis 5mg also and have documented two side effects which I intend to talk with my cardiologist about. They are Gout and constipation.

Yes I too suffer from both. I remember having a gout attack when I first started eliquis.
