Husband has been taking Amiodorone pre / post cardioversion (5 Oct) and has been offered 'flu injection (first). Bearing in mind that Amiodorone can increase potency of other drugs, has anyone had experience of this injection in previous years whilst taking Amiodorone?
Health professionals all seem to agree that jab is required but they are not taking Amiodorone and I don't think they appreciate how awful he is already feeling every day without any other complications added to the mix.
Would welcome hearing about others in same position. Many thanks

Since the flu vaccination is not a drug but a dead virus to stimulate the body's defenses I can't see a conflict. One should only be worrried about the "jab" if you are allergic to eggs as I understand that they form a base from which the culture is grown. Why not ask your pharmacist as these people know all about drugs and what may affect them?
I am on Amiodarone (albeit low 100mg a day dose) and had a flu vaccination a couple of weeks ago with no issues so far. The GP did not flag it up as a concern.
Had the jab 2016 and 2017 while on Amiodarone without problems and just had this years 4 months after stopping it so an amount of it will still be in my system also no problem
