Hi - need to nip this potential cold in the bud.

Pharmacist says it is ok to take Vicks First Dede ce with warfarin - what do you guys reckon.

Urgently need to visit my brother in law who has developed an aggressive brain tumour.

Would normally have kept away during his chemo.

Help please.

Your pharmacist probably knows more than any of us.

Yup - I always ask my pharmacist - he said it’s fine but always like to check out things with ‘seasoned users’ - thank you

Vick's First Defence works by lining the nose to produce a barrier that cold viruses can't cross. So I wouldn't have thought there would be any interaction with warfarin. I have used it before but I'm not sure it helped much and I didn't notice any impact on my INR.

I use First Defence without any problems and think it very effective. Avoid direct contact with Brother in Law and wash hands thoroughly as soon as you get there.
