Hiya, it can take anything up to 6 months for the ablation to do its work, I had one last week and my pulse is up to 75-80bpm from 55bpm before. If you search on this forum there is a guide to post ablation and what to expect and it's really informative. Take care and rest/recover.
To find the guide, go to AF Association website,. Click on patient resources. Then click on the picture marked fact sheets and scroll down to R and it is there.
I have heard 3 months, 6 months, a year. I think it all depends on your ability to bounce back and the EP’s skill in the procedure. It may also depend on how difficult the condition was. I’m just past three months and few great.
So take it slowly and carefully!

It took 5 months for all arrhythmias and bumps to stop after ablation and a further 6 months for resting heart rate to return to normal. Mid 60s now but was in mid 80s after ablation, gradually reducing.
