Paracetamol. If you have AF you must never take ibuprofen or similar NSAIDs. Codeine is also OK . Anything else discuss with your pharmacist.

I take paracetamol, even was o.k. When I was taking 100 flecanide twice a day, now on 50 flecanide twice a day same as you does it seem to be o.k. for your svt. I have been advised to have an ablation and stop the tablets or a pacemaker with loads of tablets, any one else out there had this option given, has left me confused. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I don’t have af I have svt

Thank you for the assurance MydogBrandy. Regarding your dilema on an ablation, please understand that there are many types of SVT and each type has further subsets such as the position in the heart where the problem originates, with not all being ablatable. There are other factors that effect how tolerant you are during a SVT bout, when your succeptible to a SVT bout and what triggers a SVT bout. Your doctor is the expert and all logic dictates that you should do what the doctor advises as he would have the current knowledge and expertise to do the best risk assessment for your particular case. As you know other factors come into play when it's happening to you and I appreciate the difficulty in giving the go ahead for such a procedure, all I would say is that anyone other than your doctor can only carry out a sub optimum risk assessment based on less knowledge of your particular case.
