As I mentioned in my reply to your first post here, Mark, I don't think there are any EPs at RUH in Bath. There are several at the BRI and elsewhere in Bristol but I don't have personal experience of any of them though I think Jonathan Pitts-Crick has been recommended here previously and I seem to remember he has actually posted on this Forum in the past.
You can find names of EPs in Bristol here:
Don’t know if you’ve seen this page Mark:

‘Glyn Thomas’ rings a bell. He may have spoken at an AF day🤔.
Someone will know.

Yep, he did speak at an AF day. I remember as he has AF himself!

I think you will only find EPs in regional centres of excellence as the specialised equipment required for ablation is very expensive, I had to travel from Devon to London to be treated in 2013, thankfully we now have a department in Exeter but I agree with the others, I think you will need to travel and Bristol will probably be nearest for you.
Yes Bristol Heart Institute at BRI have quite a few Ep, I see Dr Palash Barman and am very happy with him.I also live in Frome and you may like to know a new support group has been set up by the AFA at Frome medical centre the next meeting is Monday Sept 3rd starting at 10.30am,you can just turn up.Hope this might be helpful to you.
The group is run by Helen Hodgson, she is a physiologist from the RUH ( one of the people who do echoscans etc) Jane
Are you sure about the start time of this meeting, Fastbeat ? There's a message on the AFA Facebook page which says it starts at 12pm. I thought it might be helpful to Mbevan too and sent him a private message here a bit earlier on.
Edited to say …. the timings of this Support Group meeting have now been altered on the AFA Facebook page. Time is 10.30am-12pm
Apologies to Fastbeat
Yes that's ok.Its a new group there has been one other meeting in June, well attended and friendly,I will be going next week as I found it good to meet other people to talk and learn, much like this forum but face to face. JANE.
Hi I had my ablation done in May by Dr Palash Barman at the BRI and would definitely recommend him a very polite and helpful Doctor, saw him last month for my three month check up, again can't fault him at all and the best thing is the ablation worked
