Is there anyone who can advise me please?

Hello Dkbab :-) this site is specifically for people with Arrhythmia, do you have that too.

With regard to your leg I would go and see your GP .

I am pretty sure your district nurse will have the latest info at her fingertips she should also have access to a tissue viability nurse specialist if required. Are you able to keep your legs elevated as much as possible or is it too uncomfortable or does it make you breathless if they are level or above the level suggested.

My neighbour has a couple of ulcers on his leg and they leak and they get infected often. He has tried compression bandages etc and sees the specialist nurse twice a week.

Nothing has worked and he became almost housebound.

I have an infrared device that I have used for a few years on myself, my family and many pets too. It reduces inflamation and reduces pain. It also promotes healing. It works in a similar way to the laser that is used in hospitals but can be used by anyone as there are no dangerous rays produced and the only place it cannot be used safely is in the eyes.

My neighbour borrowed this and noticed a big difference in a few days . His nurse was pleasantly surprised too and recommended that he should continue using it. It is three weeks into this now and the infection has gone, the ulcers are reduced in size, he is walking comfortably again and the pain is very much reduced.

The device is rather expensive but it has worked well for me and other members of my family.

It's called Photizo. You can find one on ebay for about £260. I have bought these in volume to get them cheaper to help friends and neighbours over the past couple of years and I am able to sell them privately at £220.

If you live somewhere near me (north east UK) you can borrow mine to see if it works for you.

What is a a fib episode

in reply to

Hello Pauline, welcome to the site.

An episode of atrial fibrillation (AF) is a period between 30 minutes and 7 days, during which there are usually, but not necessarily, symptoms, and where the AF reverts to sinus rhythm either spontaneously or with treatment.

Recurrent episodes are known as paroxysmal AF, to distinguish them from persistent or permanent AF.

Feel free to ask any questions about your AF. If you do, I suggest you start a new post (thread) to introduce yourself. Are you in France?
