Not to that specific destination but always take my drugs in hand luggage + a spare prescription and or the script counterfoil. Never had any problems and flown all over the world. I lost my Apixaban last time I visited Spain - last October - and couldn’t have been easier to replace. Cost about 20E for a weeks supply.

Pack in their original packaging that shows your name and address from the prescription.

How did you lose it

I truthfully don’t know but suspect I probably only packed one weeks supply......it certainly wasn’t during travel.

Hi, Went to Malta in July and took all my AF and heart failure medications including Apixaban on plane in hand luggage with no problem. I just left the boxes in the pharmacy bag they came in and put this bag in the tray at security checks.

Always carry my medication in cabin baggage. Have most problems with my metal hips! Why are you concerned?

I am concerned incase they take them off me or I lose them as I think my daughter just said she carries some in hand luggage and some in main case

I always carry all my meds in hand luggage even when away for months. Much safer. I only use the see through plastic bags for my eye drops.

Did you leave your meds in your hand luggage or put them in tray

Echo what others have said. I Always take my meds in their original packaging together with a prescription or counter foil showing the prescribed items plus my name and address. Never had a problem

I was always told to take prescription drugs in hand luggage in case luggage goes astray. Take a copy of your prescription as proof. Never had a problem

I have been to Madeira and Cyprus with all my medication in my hand luggage and although my blood thinner was Rivaroxaban and not apixaban, it's the same thing. No problems.

If you have worries, you can always take your repeat prescription leaflet with you, or ask your surgery to type a letter stating all of your medication.

Have a nice holiday
