Hope everyone is well or as well as they can be.Ok had AF for 5 years now.Had 1 successful cardio version about 3 years ago.Its success was due to amiodrone keeping the heart rate down I guess.Ive felt ok over the past 3 years even good but at times I felt strange.Would only happen for an hour a day or something like that.So recently things changed maybe 4-5 months ago.I started to feel a strange pain left side under armpit or around there.its was more of an intermittent thing at first. But I’ve had massive stress this year and it is more consistent to the point I’m always holding my left side and massaging or holding arsoubt left armpit. The pains seem to be affecting directly on my heart when I over eat.Almost gastric then into my solar plexus heart area.Om waiting for angiogram but don’t understand why everythibg has got much worse.Scarey to say the least. If anyone can help or shed any light I would be v grateful. As I say I have had massive stress this year extremely bad diet at times and I have been drinking a lot of alcohol through the stress but haven’t for past 5 days but still feel super rough.Im wondering if I have some other illness that maybe stacking my heart ? TIA sorry to waffle on.!

Hello Danny... sounds like you’re going through a really rough time! Have you been to see your GP? Stress can have such a negative impact - more than we realise, on both our physical and mental health!
Are you looking at finding ways to remove some of the stressful elements in your life, or dealing with them differently ... finding time for yourself to sit quietly and breathe deeply may sound impossible but if you can create that space in your day... and in your head... you might start feeling able to take some control back in your life and slowly start making a few very small changes that might make a big difference...
But, if you haven’t spoken to your GP, I think that might be your first step...
There are lots of very experienced and helpful folk on the forum and I am very sure you’ll get some great help and support from them. I’m just a rooky here. 😊
The consumption of alcohol in itself could have caused these issues! I have up alcohol completely after being diagnosed with afib! It was a social adjustment at first but now used to it!! It is also an issue with most meds we take as well. Just saying!!
