Anyone else feel it hard to get going in the mornings? Once I’m moving I pick up a bit. Also anyone else on Entresto if so what was your experience please? Thanks as always

Yes me! It takes me 2 mugs of tea (decaffeinated) and at least half an hour in the mornings to even start to feel human. Mind you, I've been like that for most of my life and don't put it down to AF or to any medication I now take.

It’s unusual for me I was a morning person now I’m a 10-6 person 😂

Yes I feel dreadful in the mornings and it takes me 30mins to even think about getting out of bed.. It probably has something to do with not moving for 6 -7hrs. Once I have had my tea and start to move about I gradually become a bit better but it is very depressing to say the least.

Glad to hear I am not the only one dragonflyjan.

Thanks yes I find I’m really low energy after I’ve taken my tablets at 7 then pick up about 9. I hate being so tired

Are the flushes due to the meds do you think cos I’m well past menopause but get them again now

I get terrible hot flushes with sweating, torture in this weather 😤 It is caused by Diltiazem, I am pretty sure.

I’m not on that one but plenty of others bound to have side effects I suppose

Me too! even though I've had 8 or 9 hours sleep, I still wake up feeling like I've had a late night.(I wish). Takes me a good couple of hours to get motivated.I like to watch sky news, but find I'm looking at the screen and not taking anything in. I was on 5mg Bisoprolol which was reduced to 3.75 because I was falling asleep at work.

Retired now but might have to think of an alternative.

Good luck.

Yes some days there is a real struggle to haul myself out of bed in a morning other days I'm wide awake til about 11am. I tend to struggle on bad days to find motivation to do anything more than make breakfast lunch and tea for me and the kids.

I know what you mean I often give in and have a sleep in the bath. It’s been windy here recently in Sydney which seems to be making things worse

I used to be up showered and out of the house in double quick time every day. Then once on beta blockers I was slowed to a snails pace. Takes me hours to come round and get ready these days. Feel as though I am wadding through treacle.

Not just me then! Tempting to just stop the tablets and see what happens it’s all about QOL

Yes indeed, one of the reasons I have been able to take medical retirement.Pretty useless after morning meds until about 11 am.

Yes I wonder if we could take them around 5am if that would help?

Yes, I've never been a 'morning person' and feel ill for hours if woken up artificially, I've managed to persuade my husband that plonking down my mug of coffee and glass of water and flinging open the curtains with a chirpy greeting is counterproductive! My granddaughter who is wide awake and ready to go at 7 am is staying with us for the week, luckily she is old enough to sort her own breakfast and turn on the TV 😑 Some days I feel ok, others I'm like a zombie and I suspect that means my heart has been playing up during the night.

I feel like that too. Some mornings I would like to stay in bed for hours but always force myself to get ready. I am only on Apixaban and Perindopril . No beta blockers. I think it's the AF that makes us tired. Our heart has to work harder.

If I have gone into AF in the night then I can feel frozen up and stiff in the morning because of the dehydration. It takes at least 2 glasses of water and a little fruit juice to get me moving. 2 hours helps as well, but I have always been slow in the morning - and I don't take Bisoprolol!

Ok thanks I hadn’t thought of that

Don’t try what I did! I thought maybe I could push through it NO, totally wiped out for 2 more hours feeling awful. Does anyone else get an upset stomach when they’ve overstretched themselvrs?
