Ok everyone what are your views do I have an ablation or stay on flecanide. I am quite well at the moment. I have had an ablation before but didn’t like the sound of all the things that might happen with an ablation.

I think it depends on your quality of life with AF, I was living with PAF for years taking the tablets but AF got increasingly worse 2 or 3 days at a time with maybe a day or two inbetween when I was ok, so at the beginning of May I had AF and Atrial Flutter ablation at Bristol and haven't looked back since at the moment AF free, so happy as Larry

Good Morning, it is quality of life because AF does take over your life, you think about it every day. I think I will have to take the bull by the horns and just have it done.

It certainly did for, first thing on my mind in the morning and the last thing at night, but now the odd ectopic beat and that's it peace at last

Personally I would go for the ablation. I didn't enjoy having my first one, but the relief it has given was well worth the discomfort and worry. If/when I need another I'm in :D
