Pain between shoulder blades since ablation

I had an ablation done 3 weeks ago (19/6/18) and experienced chest tightness and back pain between the shoulder blades afterwards . The chest tightness resolved after about a week but the back pain appears to be worsening. It is like a quite strong dull ache

Has anyone else experienced this after an ablation?

I felt it after my flutter ablation more than I did from my PVI ablation. It's still only been a month for you since the ablation but if you're worried you could try and get in at the GP.

Various aches pains and stiffness sounds normal to what I experienced 4 times though

Thanks for the reply. I also had flutter ablation as well as PVI ablation.

I am 1 week post ablation and have the same issues, also coughing up traces of blood, although this is diminishing. I was cardioverted twice during procedure so assume this is causing chest and back ache. Hope you improve soon.

Quite possibly oesphageal inflammation following the procedure . One of the many things we mention in our Recovering from Ablation fact sheet.,

Very early days yet but as always if you have any concerns then speak to your arrhythmia nurse or one of the EP team .
