Holiday / Home Aircon

Back from a week in Altea, Spain, thankfully relaxed and well. Thanks to all the support on this super helpful and friendly forum and to certain members golden advice, which allayed my worries and made me push and go on this much needed break , and so that we went away for a lovely week in the sun. Heeding advice I didn't sunbathe for long periods, didn't stress or walk to far in the heat, kept going on the pool to cool down and basked in the aircon as much as possible, and drank copious amounts of water . Apart from one morning I felt the dreaded skipped, fast beats which thankfully abated once I got up and had plenty of water and my medication, it went better than I could of hoped for.

Flew back to Leeds Weds night, and couldn't believe the heat back home it's worse here funnily enough, ironic . Quick trip to argos £279 each and a 2 portable air con units later, living room cool, bedroom cool, bring the aircon home is as good as the sun home..now if I could just install a pool and some room service, job done 😁

Sounds wonderful pleased you had a great time. Altea is so lovely was there last year. Just picturing sitting at one of the beach cafes on the promenade, wonderful. Walked to the next resort on the sea front, (back in the direction of Benidorm) can't remember it's name it was lovely there too. Holidays in the sun sheer bliss.

Hi Mead, Was it Albir? We did a walk along there, lovely Altea, and peeps into Moraira, another nice pace with a market which isn't too large and less hectic.

Albir, that's the huckleberry. Don't know Moraira will look out for it next time. Guess talking and thinking about glorious holiday destinations is the next best thing to being there especially in weather like we have currently.

Not often that we get off a plane in Leeds Bradford in lovely weather as good as we left behind on our holiday destination is it. Only done that once and sadly my svt and af had kicked in before the flight home so it was straight from the airport to hospital where I stayed for five days. A patient in resus then on cardiac ward looking bronzed and healthy raised some smiles I can tell you lol.

Ha I bet that did make for some funny looks, this heats a nightmare today, been to docs for a check and BP is up, which I said I'm not shocked by with heat to his raised eyebrow, and told they would like me on statins which again said am not happy to take at all thanks, and then gave me a script for amlodopine . BP is at 140/99 didn't think that was massively excessive with 32 degrees and a bit of Afib.

I have been choosing a new air conditioner for a long time. And I had enough of them. So I decided on the brand and bought it. It took only a couple of days as water began to flow from the Negg. I didn't know what to do at first. The guarantee was. But I didn't want to change it to another air conditioner. So I had to call the company for the aircon chemical wash price because they are engaged in repairing air conditioners. I told them what the reason is. They knew their job very well. The repair was quick. And most importantly, cheap. I didn't even need a guarantee. I already knew that I would have to buy a new one. But guys not only can fix air conditioners.
