Warfarin update ❤️

Hi all , I wanted to update you all on how I am feeling off warfarin as some of you might remember a while back I posted about little odd things like constantly peeing and dehydration while taking it .

Usually as people no I drink water no caffeine or juice or coke lemonade. Well I had a bad time constantly needing to pass urine and my pee was sometimes getting dark which was not always the case before talking warfarin, I felt dehydrated although I was drinking a lot of water and the standard joke was Mum will need 40 stops on the road at the service station if we go any were so 😂 this was not 40 but let’s say I no most service stations around the country when on are way to football games we would leave an hour early because it was that bad . I also had all the tests done urine and blood tests and urine was fine but my liver enzymes were up a bit , I also started to get a pain in my right side back , a dull tooth pain but in my back and under my rib cage . My hair also was starting to fall out and well I basically felt crap .

It’s 2 weeks Friday I have stopped taking warfarin and I no longer are running to the bathroom every few minutes 👍🏼 the pain in my side has totally gone 👍🏼 and my hair is not coming out as much as it was . So answer to the question YES warfarin was making me dehydrated because I couldn’t keep water in me long as it was like drink need a wee constantly and that has totally stopped now and my urine is not dark no more only a little first thing in the morning as is everyone. I will be getting another blood test done soon and hopefully my liver is ok now , I don’t think the warfarin agreed with me so will definitely try apixaban in the future if I ever need to go back on another one.

Hope everyone is ok 👍🏼 and I am still here lol 😂

❤️❤️ Sam x

Interesting Sam but then we always knew you were special. lol Glad you are feeling so much better and no longer need to keep stopping at service stations. I do understand this problem as after my prostate op I needed EVERY stop there was plus a few that weren't. Had to carry a bottle in the car as well but not so easy for the ladies.. These days I might go a whole two hours without needing a stop!
