Hi. Very new to this forum. Have suspected AF.
Have been reading about this monitor. Has anyone got one and what do they think about it.
Any replies would be appreciated.

Hi
My consultant recommended it and, being a gadget man, I naturally got one ASAP. The ease of use and quality of EKG/ECG is superb. My consultant remarked that it produced better quality content than the kit he was using in his clinic that day.
You can mail yourself or your consultant a selection of readings should he so wish.
Great comfort and reliable
Best wishes
Great bit of kit but one warning. Many people become fixated or obsessed by them and focus too much on using them and constantly checking rather than getting on with life.
I had (still have and use) one of the very early models which the AFA helped to test the app. We early testers were very lucky because we got the premium package without paying - I there is now a monthly charge - but you don’t need to subscribe to that as you have the ability to email a PDF version to yourself for your records or to your doctor.
Mine is the old iPhone4 case model but the modern ones are different.
I love it and it helped diagnose my husband’s Arrythmia treated - which it turned out was very, very serious so as far as I am concerned - it saved his life so -YES I’m a fan and my EP loves it as I can give him evidence.
I have had mine for 2 years now and one of my best buys. Ok you could get obsessed but the novelty will soon wear off ! It certainly was my new toy to begin with. I've had to give demonstrations to my GP, paramedics and hospital docs who didn't know about this and were quite impressed .
If ever I have been concerned about my reading and not sure what was going on I have sent it to Kardia for analysis (£5) and had reassurance. I have premium free but I believe there is now a charge.
Yes, I bought mine four years ago because my PAF was causing frequent debilitating episodes but only once had been caught on a medical monitor.
I use mine with an iPad and both my GP and cardiologist accept printouts of the traces when my heart does its gymnastics. Occasionally, I have used the Kardia analysis service which gives a 24 hour turnaround report on a trace from Kardia - costs £5.
Thank you all for your quick replies.
Based on the favourable opinions I’m heading to Amazon to purchase one.
I've found mine very very useful but I don't bother with the £5 analysis, especially after I sent a worrying trace and was told it was caused by interference! It tells you if it suspects AF, if the trace looks 'wrong' but not definitely AF and you can easily learn to recognise both kinds of ectopics, tachycardia etc yourself.
Don't just accept Kardia as the 'gold standard'. There are at least 2 other products which do a similar job in the market place; one is produced by Omron and the other by Heal Force. Always pays to research a topic first. My experience with Kardia is that it is not always appropriate for every mobile phone. Kardia seems to work with iPhones and Samsung but other mobiles it is not always the case and Kardia will not support the device unless the mobile is on their approved list.
