Pace and ablate is designed to ensure that the ventricular rate (what you feel at your pulse) is steady and regular.--- controlled by the pacemaker. Whether or not you get breathless may depend on the settings of the pm and the type fitted. Remember it will not stop the fibrillation in the atrium which you may well still be aware of. It is of course at last resort treatment as you become pacemaker dependent.
hi bob thanks for replying.the pm is a micra and is currently set at 80 bpm im going to hospital this tuesday so the doctor can reduce it to 70bpm and 2 weeks after going to reduce it to 60 bpm.i had high expectations for my treatment to make my breathing easier im hoping when the pm is reduced it will take it away.im going to lanzarote in august and im worried about my breathing with it being warm and slightly hill in places
Yes your heart is very inflamed after such a surgery so you will be short of breath that's totally normal but all the same you should also tell your doctor
