Svt s and medication

I am on flecainidine 100 mg x2 daily and bisoprol 1.25 mg for multifocal atrial tachycardia episodes. I started medication in December last year. Since March -18, I have been getting really anxious for no reason and having numbness on my face & throat. Anybody else suffering similar side effects ? Any advice would be appreciated 😊

Hi Kat, I take 2 x 100mg Flecainide and 2 x 12.5mg Metoprolol. Sometimes my nose goes numb, but it's literally just for a minute or so. I've certainly become more anxious about driving lately and not so keen to be out and about every day, which I used to enjoy. Prefer the calm of my home a lot more now.

I have had episodes of numbness in face and neck also for the past 2 years. Have had every test possible with negative results. I do have the anxiety feeling also and have taken a low dose of Xanax (.025mg) which seems to help. I have been on flecanide 100 mg 2x a day for at least 7 years and have even tried to take an extra 50 mg during the day if I get the symptoms. neither the Xanax nor the extra flecanide do much with the numbness. I see the cardiologist in 2 weeks and am going to ask about a holter monitor to see if there is any correlation with the atrial fib. If anyone has had this treated successfully I would love to know about it.

Hi y'all. I have svt too and my Flecainide was increased from 50mg x 2 to 100mg x 2 a month ago. The side effects seem to be minimal. At first I would get random tremors in my hands and leg/foot. I haven't had any in about 2 weeks. I tried to jog and couldn't even do it for a full minute. I'm scared to return to work and I'm anxious. I want my life back. My Dr said a second ablation might be unsuccessful because my case is tricky. My blood pressure kept dropping and I was in and out of consciousness during the first attempt. I just want to be fixed. This is quite frustrating.

Thanks for your reply. I know this is so frustrating, my case is apparently a very tricky too and ablation wouldn’t be an option😣. I wouldn’t like to take any tablets and just want to get back to normal too.
