What is meant by a normal appointment I was told this by clerk in acute medicine appointment deptment She said my referral to AF clinic was a normal appointment

There is a difference between a Booking In appointment ie a first appointment and a follow up appointment , the time given to each appointment varies.

Hi thanks for replying It's a follow up Had my echo scan and twenty four hour ECG.

That would be my thought too. Where I live they are called routine and urgent referrals.
