So Facebook has reminded me that this time last year I was lying on a hospital trolley shivering uncontrollably with fear for the ablation that I was about to have done.

I'm so thankful that I didn't walk away like I wanted to.

It's been a bumpy year with other medical issues and stress at work and at home, but other than some flutters and bumps occasionally I have remained AF symptom free for 12 months, and that is a wonderful feeling.

A Facebook friend also told me today that he had an ablation 10 years ago, and is still AF free, and frequently cycles 60 miles plus, so there is hope !

Thanks everyone that has given me advice and support over the last couple of years, this place has kept me going through some pretty dark times

Fingers crossed. I've made a lot of changes to my lifestyle. A long way to go yet, but I'll get there

well done ! mine is scheduled for the end of May and i don't mind admitting the thought of it terrifies me ! Fortunately my desire to get rid of it is slightly ahead of my fear !

Well done on getting rid of it !
