TEE procedure after Watchman Procedure.

A short while ago was very nervous about an upcoming TEE/TOE procedure and received a lot of support from my a-fib community. Originally scheduled for Feb28th, it was postponed and done yesterday afternoon-Mar 9.. It was smooth as glass. Had anesthesia sedation and I caused myself a lot of anxiety beforehand needlessly. Went well. Got some great sedation from anesthesia. Will see my electrophysiologist this coming week and if my Watchman device is completely sealed over I will BE OFF COUMADIN!!!! Yeah. Thanks everyone who reassured me. I was such a baby! irina1975

Good for you Irina. Got a date for my endoscopy now. Day after my birthday! Deep joy. Last time they didn't sedate me enough and I ended up wrestling with the doctor. Last thing I heard was for F 's sake give him another shot and I woke up two hours later. lol

LOL. I was well sedated but alert enough to hear the doc talking about what he was seeing on camera. I kept trying to keep my eyes at least partially open so anesthesia wouldn't think I was too sedated and not keep the 'goodies' coming! I hope yours goes as smooth as mine. BTW. Is your b'day this month? I ask because mine is: the 23rd. They must have got the drugs right (Propulful, Versed, and Fentanyl because by the time I got home I felt VERY GOOD. Take care. irina1975
