Not quite sure how to do this without starting a new thread, but thank you all so much for your messages after my post about the loss of my sister. They gave me so much comfort.

She was 69. My mother is 97 this year, my father died at 90, so we thought we had a decent chance of doing many more things together. She came away with me and my husband sometimes twice a year.

Good to know you have been comforted. I think we were all saddened not only by all the trauma that came your way earlier but with the pain of your loss.

Your situation has struck a chord with all of us who have loved ones to mourn and indeed with those who have not that special relationship that siblings can share.

It is all a reminder of the fragility of life and how precious our loved one are.
