Ok all you smart people ( by the way I really do think you are smart). I am taking 50 mg of metroprol xl a day. I am so wiped out when I get up to do any little thing. HR goes up to around 128 and oxygen goes down to 89, 90. Just doing little daily chores. Any suggestions?

One possibility is you are an undiagnosed asthmatic. Ask your GP to check this and if so change to nebivolol.

I would discuss with my medic to get a full diagnosis from giving him or her the info you have given here. You would benefit from a discussion and maybe further tests. Best wishes.

My suggestion is , make sure you let your cardiologist know what is going on. It's your body and your problem so don't be afraid to ask questions and expect straight answers. The smartness here comes from us not knowing everything, so ask the people that do. I also research on line for tips on AF as well as this forum. Use only credited Web sites and you can get good tips. However the tip is to make sure you give all the information to you cardiologist and rely on their expertise.

Get well soon

I like that approach and use it. I write things down. I clearly separate facts [your own observations on yourself] from my opinions and questions. Keep a medical diary since it is easy to forget. Then state your concerns and prioritise them. I have found by experience that the patient can seriously change the direction of discussion. Hence the need for priorities.

Hi Ilowe, yes I agree with you. I have kept a medical diary for many years because of my auto immune issues. Thank for your reply.
