CTI ablation

It’s decided saw EP last week and I’m having a CTI Ablation? Just waiting for a date..!tbh it can’t come quick enough I hate having momentry extreme fast HR like 198bpm being the fastest I’ve captured on Kardia mobile device the longest a fast HR lasts is 20 mins but I tend to get get a few on the trot if that makes sense to anyone I really do feel like I’ve ran several marathons in a day!! I’m shattered tearful in pain and worried to bits. I can cope for so long then I’m down in mood only cos I’m frustrated I can’t do anything I get the sweats withvit then when HRgoes back to NSR I’m freezing cold I just don’t seem to be able to beat this thing!! On top of all that I have a VitD deficiency hence the tiredness and lethargy. EP is sorting out flutter first and keeping close eye on AFib as that seems settled currently. He downgraded opp to CTI. Just putting out there how I feel. no one in my family want to know or listen I’m feeling very alone in this battle . Thanks in advance for letting me vent

Sorry I am unfamiliar with the term CTI . Please don't stress as we do understand how frightening this sort of event can be but it does get easier. Remember it won't kill you even if it feel like it. .

Try some distraction therapy and remember to do the deep breathing .

It stands for cava triscupid ishmus ablation for atrial flutter

Hi Babyr1996, I would like to cheer you up by pointing out that atrial flutter ablation in the right atrium ( which you will undergo) has a very high success rate compared to ablation in the left atrium, specifically perimitral atrial flutter (which I have). Cheers to you on your ablation.

Thank you that really helps but these fast HR can just do one!! A girl can only take so much!! But the sooner it’s done the better but what you say is very encouraging thank you

Would it be worth asking your GP if increasing your dose of Bisoprolol might give you better rate control while waiting for your ablation?

I’m on lowest dose and I can’t tolerate that for side effects so he is a bit loathe to increase and tbh I don’t know which is worse the fast HR or side effects of the bisoprolol. But thanks for the idea
