Lay on right side makes my heart beat funny, or the vice versa?

I had noticed before my four episodes of afib, that I read in bed with my neck/back against the headboard. This is the common thing shared by all four episodes.

Now when I lay on my right side, my heart rate could shoot up from 80 to 120, and it could calm down to 80 as soon as I sit up or turn to my back. Feels like laying on my right side could stimulate the nerve. All my episodes happened during I was sleeping.

I didn't notice this relation until recently, and not before afib. I wonder if it was the nerve caused my afib, or afib changed my heart and the nerve so it became this way? Of cause cardiologist and EP both dismissed any relationship of these.

Sounds like vagus nerve - suggest you do some research. Many threads here if you put vagal AF in search and I just posted a video with excellent explanation and strategies for healing.

PS - also look at the Sanjay Gupta videos - some posted here but all on YouTube.
