I had vein ablation therapy in April, 2017. Shortly after, I developed scaly skin and a permanent, painful bruise right below the ablation entrance. Neither doctor I have seen seems overly concerned but it is EXTREMELY tender to the touch. What could be the cause and should I seek a third opinion?

If you mean varicose vein ablation this is nothing like the type of ablation we know about on this site for atrial fibrillation . I would definitely continue to chase doctors about this problem.
Just my opinion, Looks like infection . I would definitely show a doctor .
