From my experience , only if you are super lucky! Ive just gone past ten months and am only just getting back to normal! Two months off of the meds now, still have some small bumps here and there and a rare run of ectopics! Had three months of feeling great , five months of feeling like all hell was gonna break loose and banging headaches! The last couple of months have been getting used to coming off the meds! I would still jump at the chance of ablation if you’re offered it as it does give you your life back! Good luck to all you lot out there❤️

3 -6 months recovery post ablation? If you’re lucky .
A great post Achant, it is important for people to be made aware of the effects of having an ablation and how it can be different for different people. I had a cryoablation 19 months ago and I have to admit there were parts of the procedure that were quite uncomfortable, even unpleassant, but memories of those fade quickly. I had a couple of runs of AF within 2 weeks and like you, a number of heart bumps along the way, but all in all, I felt so much better than I had for ages. After 6 months I came of a maintence dose of flecainide and it's possible that that contributed to another couple of runs of AF and then nothing for over a year. I may need a RF ablation to do some touching up, but like you, it was the right route for me.
That said, it is important that we share our experiences as it may help others in their journey.....hope the progress continues....
If I had come off the flecainde too early I think my heart would have gone bonkers🤣, the fact that ablation offers you hope is good enough for starters 👌🏻 All the best. My first three months post ablation were amazing, then I think the healing really started! I wish the eps would give more realistic recovery time, having said that they are bloody genius and offer us all hope!
Great to hear your success, I have my ablation on Friday.
All the best then!
I'm 9 months post ablation, 3 weeks of feeling great, a month of ectopics from hell, some feeling a little less crap, a month or tow of feeling great and the last few weeks worrying that flutter may be back. It's definitely a longer journey than the medics tell us
I hope not , but if it is I’m sure they will sort it for you 👌🏻
