Hi there, and welcome. Lots of useful support here!
Are you unable to take the new alternatives to Warfarin or has your doctor not mentioned them to you?
Are you on Ramipril as well? My hair fell out and it was definitely that drug , when it was changed hair grew back!
Hi there my son in law had hair loss he attributed to warfarin
I was on it too but now on apixaban and although hair seems to be
a bit weak it does not come out on the comb.
I have found that leaving any anti coagulants off for a few days resulted in
a great improvement in hair quality but you can't leave it off can we?
Hope this is helpful
Mike
No, I have not been forced into using warfarin yet; and candidly, I hope never to. But I do believe that others have dalt with the problems and survived.
I've been taking Apixaban for most of this year and my hair started falling out straight away. It's very thin now. I haven't found anything that would help this, but I'm also grateful there is an anticoagulant that is otherwise straightforward to take.
Best not worry about warfarin. After all, it's a life saver. Everything else is unimportant (Relatively speaking)
Unfortunately, as with many conditions, we have to suffer the side affects but be thankful there are remedies available now to enhance our well-being.
This was one reason I changed to Apixaban. Hair is a lot healthier now
I'm on warfarin, and my being anticoagulated is far more important than losing hair, but I am a 72 year old man who's naturally balding. I couldn't care less about what I look like, although I don't think Warfarin is speeding up any hair loss.
