If you are having chest pain, you should really get in touch with the out of hours doctor. I think that if you call them, they will probably send a paramedic, who can check you over, and decide if it is something that needs hospital intervention.

Morning Sarah, What do you mean by 'chest problems? Do you have a chest infection, because if you do that may well be triggering your AF? For some people, coughing can occasionally put their hearts back into normal rhythm.

I would advise you to contact the out of hours doctor or dial the 111 NHS advice line. It's always best to get advice from the experts.

I agree with Vanna-C that it needs to be checked in combination with your blood oxygen (SpO2) level. If you are taking amiodarone or dronedarone and there are crackle sounds when you are breathing, come back and we can discuss.
