So as some of you know I’m due my 12 month check up on 9th and 10th October at the brompton, feeling ok, HR still isn’t as low as pre ablation, around 80-85 now,

Also the last 2 months or so I’ve got back into a bit of light running and dieting, losing 2 stone, nothing major 3-5km a day not breaking any records, all was good until about 3 weeks ago I noticed when walking the dog up the mountain I had lots of ectopic beats... then afterwards my HR took a while to settle, longer than usual, and since then I’ve been having quite a lot of these missed beats, enough so that I’ve stopped going running, I’ve also noticed a tight chest feeling, no pain just bit tight, but I think some might be me putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5.

I did a stress test 2 years ago where I got to level 5 and consultant said it put me in a very good prognostic group for future cardiac events....

Hi Juggsy,

What was your heart rate prior to your Ablation? 80-85 seems quite high to me. My last procedure was 8 months ago, pulse was 45-50 bpm before it.

My heart rate since Ablation has been around 65-70 bpm, however very happy to report in the last couple of weeks it has started to drop around the 56-60 bpm mark. I take a ECG and BP reading onece a week.

It was around 68-74 just dosent seem to be coming down at all,

Very strange, l would have thought after nearly a year it would have dropped lower.

However we are all different and l'm sure your EP will give an explanation for it.

Yes, hopefully, makes me wonder if the ablation has kicked something else off, or another underlying issue
