Although Lyme disease is the most talked about tick-transmitted disease, Babesia is more common than you might think.

This article is by a well-known Lyme specialist in NY. If babesiosis is causing your heart problems, you want to know because it is curable. You may know if you are at risk for tick-borne disease. You can find out more at lymedisease.org.

For UK readers - Babesiosis was Unkown in the U.K. But may not be in the future as reported in dogs 2016.

I know many areas in some parts of the country are now dog free zones because of Lyme - I meet quite a few people with this infection so it is a common think to pick up if you walk in grass & woodland.
