I am very similar to the post "heart of the matter" but recently been feeling tired, lacking in get up and go. I recently had the results of a 24 HR monitor which according to me EP resulted in the following. Average Heart rate 86. My heart reached 100 bmp for 17% of the 24 HR period. Apart from the tiredness I have no other symptoms. The EP added that he considered my heart rate was fairly well Controlled. For my part I think my persistant AF is beginning to show signs of deteration. To be honest I am beginning to be concerned I will also add I have allowed myself to put on weight which isn't helping. Just sounding off I suppose. Cheers Roy

Sorry to hear, Roy, that you feel you are doing less well. Your EP doesn't sound unhappy but you know in yourself how you are, although perhaps you aren't as bad as you feel you might be.

AF is always good at reminding us that we have to pay attention to things like weight gain....

Did your cataract surgery go well?

Thanks for your comments and you are so right. I have taken my eye off the ball as far as weight gain is concerned I will get the weight off and then re- asses. Sadly the Cataract didn't go well I was disappointed with the outcome and the care received at Liverpool eye hospital. They actually managed to rip my iris and that doesn't help the quality of the sight. Things not gone well this year. Take care. Roy xx

Oh dear - that's not good. You are entitled to feel that it's not going your way. But time, perhaps, to step in and make a change and take some positive steps.
