So what point are you making, that the monitor is useful or otherwise.....

Doodle. this person keeps just posting links so best ignore if you don't want to read them. We all know Kardia here anyway. Maybe one day the member may feel confident enough to actually ask a question so be patient..

Bob :-) I don't know if I want to read the content of the link or not unless I click on it and clicking on unexplained links can lead to picking up computer viruses or contributing to email harvesting.

It would be helpful if people posting links would give an explanation of their reason for doing so .

Clicking a link won't give your computer a virus. Opening unknown attachments will however.

in reply toBobD

Well bobD I had never seen it before, just sharing info. I'm always in AFIB. Most if not all of you here will be at some point.

Getting a handle on symptoms and triggers I think is useful. Up until recently I thought the back pain I was having was muscular, but no an extra dose of warifran relived it.

I recently purchased a Kardia. I have PAF and am on medication. First couple of weeks have been normal (new toy, so was checking every couple of days). Bit of an episode last night, which has shown up on the ECG, but recorded as unclassified. I am still on the premium free trial, so I paid £5, and sent off for a report. Came back as 'Needs Review', 'significant ECG abnormality observed', and 'you have multiple extra beats originating from the upper part of the heart'. I have settled down again now, back to normal. I think having the Kardia has helped me. I obviously sat it out and didn't bother with hospital. I am on the waiting list to see the Cardiologist (should have seen him in April) and I'll show him the ECG and Report. Be interesting to see how he views it.

LOL he will view it with disdain. I see some bad reviews on it? Most are connectivity related. Try hand sanitizer on your fingers for better connections.

My EP is always keen to see my Kardia printouts and says they give him valuable information about my AF. I think a lot of doctors are becoming aware of this very useful device.

in reply toDodie117

Doctors here in the US are far less accommodating or informative.

Actually, Rex my EP here in North Carolina suggested I invest in one and gave me his personal email to send him EKG's. It was helpful to be able to show him the two very different AFib arrhythmias I have.
