Speak to your dispensing Pharmacist. Some anti-histamines can cause drowsiness. This might be something you want, to take at night.

I take Apixiban and my prescibed me antihistamine for a reaction i had to veraperil (itchy skin). Only probem she said was they can make you drowsy. Lovely, take one at night helped me to sleep. Dont know about reaction with Amioderone though, bottled out when thet wanted me to try that. Scared me when i read possible side effects. Maybe worth a phone call. Good luck.

Thanks for the answer, they are supposed to work right away, but I am still coughing so maybe it isn't hayfever at all. I am going to see the Doc for more help.

i had a bad cough when starting amiodarone. IT did go away. A cough is something you should report to your doc while taking amiodaone. It has the black box warning for lung problems.

Hi - just read your post. Some folk can take anti-histamines, some can't. I am one of the lucky ones and take cetirizine once daily in the morning and it has no affect on my PAF. Without it, my hay fever would be unbearable. I take Apixaban and bisoprolol for the PAF. It is best to talk to your pharmacist for the best advice for you. Hope you feel better soon.

Best wishes

Carol
